What Are The Bonus Stages In Sonic 3 For?
If a player owns Sonic Mania Plus or the Encore DLC, the Pinball Stage in Mania Mode will be used instead of the bonus stages. Every time the player enters the stage, he or she must play in a specific order until all of the Medallions are collected. With each Blue Sphere Bonus Stage, Sonic Mania advances thirty-two levels. The player will gain speed as he or she runs faster than the Bonus Stage’s speed limit. During a Bonus Stage, if you collect both blue spheres and rings, you will receive a Gold Medallion instead of a Silver Medallion. Rings can be positioned either in the open or within the perimeter of red spheres, at least one of which must be blue. The stage’s goal is to collect all of the blue spheres discovered there. These trinkets can be used to obtain extra features in Mania Mode and Extras.
In the Bonus Stage, a Medallion will be awarded to the player. In Sonic Mania, the player has access to 22 different areas that are not included in the main game. If Sonic falls off the platform, he will lose a life. The object of the game is to reach the center of the platform and collect as many rings as possible. These stages take place on a rotating platform with numerous obstacles in the way. Sonic 3’s bonus stages are played by entering special rings hidden throughout the game.
